John Cena may have his next film project lined up.
While speaking with Deadline, writer/director Peter Farrelly stated that he is in talks to have Cena and Zac Efron star in his R-rated comedy movie, Ricky Stanicky.
The plan is for the movie to start shooting in January although negotiations for the actors are not locked in. Cena would play the Ricky Stanicky character.
The description of the film notes, “Ricky Stanicky is a fictional character used by a group of married friends to blame their misbehavior when making excuses to their wives. When the wives become suspicious of never meeting this person, the husbands then find someone to play the fictional character.”
As previously noted, Efron is playing Kevin Von Erich in the “The Iron Claw” movie, which will be shooting shortly in Louisiana.
Cena is filming season 2 of HBO Max’s “Peacemaker.” The former WWE Champion recently changed his look as he is sporting a goatee/beard.
