Former ROH World Champion Jay Lethal recently spoke with ComicBook.com about staying with ROH and more. As we reported earlier on the site, he has signed a new two-year exclusive contract the promotion. It was reported that WWE did have some level of interest in Lethal.
When asked about re-signing with the promotion, he said that it was true and they were the first people to ask about it. “Yes, I did just sign a two-year deal with ROH.” He added that he is here to stay in ROH. Lethal noted that he had no contact with WWE because his previous contract with ROH never officially ended. When his previous contract was coming due, he signed a new deal with ROH. Thus, the reason he was not allowed to talk to WWE.
