REPORT: Conor McGregor turns down offer to appear at WrestleMania 33

It’s no secret that WWE is interested in bringing in UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor. Triple H has expressed interest in McGregor as recently as November. Also, McGregor’s agent Audie Attar said in an interview with ESPN last year that they would entertain an offer from WWE.

The Sun is reporting that WWE recently reached out to McGregor and presented him a hefty offer. However, he turned down the deal. McGregor is taking time off from fighting because he and his girlfriend are expecting their first child together. It was noted that with McGregor taking time off, WWE wanted him to do something at WrestleMania 33 in April.

Although WWE’s offer was hefty, he is looking to fight Floyd Mayweather in a boxing match, and there is more money in that for McGregor than what WWE could offer him at this time. It’s always possible that McGregor and WWE do business down the line.
