On the road to SummerSlam, WWE is hoping for another ratings boost on Monday when Raw heads to Kurt Angle’s hometown of Pittsburgh. They’ve already announced several segments for the show. Braun Strowman vs. Roman Reigns vs. Samoa Joe is the featured match. I should add that Brock Lesnar is also scheduled that show so we might see him get involved in that match.
WWE is teasing that Jason Jordan will get grilled by The Miz on “Miz TV.” It sure seems like they are looking to set up Jordan vs. Miz for the Intercontinental Championship at SummerSlam. I guess we will know by Monday Night. On a related note, we have a spoiler on a big match scheduled for SummerSlam. It’s technically not a spoiler if you’ve been paying attention to the hints on WWE TV but if you don’t know then click here to find out more.
In the WWE.com preview, they are asking whether or not Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose will be able to get along. Clearly, they will end up getting along and this will lead to them teaming up at SummerSlam.
They will also further the feud with The Hardys, The Revival, and Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson and the Bray Wyatt feud with Finn Balor will also continue. Presumably, these teases are all leading to matches at SummerSlam.
Brock Lesnar has been added to another Raw show. He is being advertised for the show on 8/8 at Toronto’s Air Canada Centre. He has also been added to Smackdown events taking place on 7/29 in Joe Louis Arena in Detroit and 8/12 at the Amalie Arena in Tampa, FL. He will be facing another Raw Superstar on those shows. In other news, a photo of The Great Khali and Vince McMahon was posted online today. As you can see below, it was taken hours before WWE Battleground at ringside as they were setting up the Punjabi Prison.
