Kurt Angle came back to WWE and fans were more than happy to see him. Even though the WWE Hall Of Famer has been a great General Manager, apparently there were different intentions for Kurt in the beginning. But while he’s on WWE television fans will always wish Angle could still be wrestling.
“You’ll see me back in the ring, for sure. I don’t know when, but I can’t wait ”The Olympic Hero recently told The Sun. Angle also revealed a very cool piece of information about WWE’s initial intentions for him in WWE.
“There was never supposed to be a GM role. I don’t know if it was Mick Foley’s hip or WWE just decided they wanted to bring my on the TV. It’s been a lot of fun. I love being with the guys and girls and every week you get a closer bond with them. I’m obviously from a different generation so it’s kind of different for me to be here now. They’ve welcomed me and made me feel at home, I’m having a great time.”
We’re not sure what WWE would have done with Kurt Angle other than putting him in the General Manager role on Raw but somewhere in an alternate universe someone could have an Olympian for a manager. But in all honesty, if Kurt Angle is going to wrestle again like he heavily alluded to, being GM of Raw is a perfect place to be because it would be an easy transition to get eventually involved in a story line.
