The Raw Women’s Championship match will be defended in a Fatal 4-Way match at the WWE No Mercy pay-per-view but this seems to be a placeholder match.
As first reported in the Wrestling Observer newsletter, the destination is for an eventual Nia Jax vs. Alexa Bliss match. So, basically, the Fatal 4-Way is just giving them more time until they focus on the singles match with, presumably, Jax as the babyface. The original plans were for Bliss vs. Jax at SummerSlam but things got changed around.
If the plan is for Bliss to retain her title at No Mercy then that would mean that Banks or Emma would be the person to take the fall in the match since it would not make sense for Jax to lose.
As of now, here are the matches that have been announced for No Mercy:
WWE Universal Championship
Brock Lesnar (Champion) vs. Braun Strowman
John Cena vs. Roman Reigns – click here for backstage news regarding this match and what WWE’s intentions are for this match (warning: this could be considered a spoiler).
Raw Women’s Champion – Fatal 4-Way Match
Alexa Bliss (Champion) vs. Sasha Banks vs. Nia Jax vs. Emma
Raw Tag Team Championship
Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose (Champions) vs. Sheamus and Cesaro
Finn Balor vs. Bray Wyatt
WWE Cruiserweight Championship
Neville (Champion) vs. Enzo Amore
Also, while not yet announced, The Miz (Champion) vs. Jason Jordan for the WWE Intercontinental Championship could he added to the show.
WWE No Mercy will take place on 9/24 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, CA.
