You can add Tessa Blanchard to the list of names backstage at Smackdown Live on Tuesday night. Her name is interesting because she is not signed to a WWE contract. The other wrestlers that were visiting backstage are signed to NXT. Blanchard’s name has been rumored for many months and the feeling was that she would be signed after the Mae Young Classic. Her boyfriend Ricochet is expected to sign with the company soon, possibly as soon as this month.
Other wrestlers that were backstage included Billie Kay, Peyton Royce, Shayna Baszler, Zelina Vega, Kairi Sane, and former Impact Wrestling star Rockstar Spud.
Heath Slater had an interesting weekend. He got stuck in an airplane bathroom and luckily for him, it was documented on video. In the video below, you can see the airport crew work to get him out. The door is finally opened in the second video below thanks to a trusty screwdriver.
