When Dolph Ziggler gave up the United States Championship on Smackdown Live a few weeks ago, he was advertised for live events for the rest of December and January.
It’s not uncommon for WWE stars to be written off television and still work the live events. It can be frustrating to know as a fan becasue it kills whatever they are trying to accomplish with storylines on television.
I give WWE credit here because they have pulled Ziggler from all live events so that he could sell the angle. The word on Ziggler is that he’ll be back this month, probably at the Royal Rumble or on the Smackdown Live after the Rumble. He hasn’t worked on a live event since the 12/18 show in White Plains, NY. He has also been silent on social media.
He will be in the United States title scene when he returns. It certainly looks like they are setting up something where Ziggler returns to reclaim his title and that would lead to a match…perhaps, a ladder match?
