Ronda Rousey could very well change a lot for women’s pro wrestling just like she did in MMA. If anything, her participation in WWE will bring a huge spotlight to anything she does.
Conor McGregor has often looked down at WWE and stirred the pot on several occasions by making remarks about WWE Superstars. The Notorious was recently asked about Rousey’s WWE debut along with a few other subjects including Floyd Mayweather coming to UFC by Adam’s Apple.
“I’m delighted for her, absolutely over the moon for her!” McGregor said. “She looked like she really enjoyed herself at the event and I was very, very happy to see her.”
“She’s a pioneer for the game,” noted McGregor. “She’s came through it all and faced big wins and big, big losses and she came through it and it’s great to see her represent herself and mixed martial arts and have fun in the WWE. I know she’s been a big fan of it all through her life, so it’s great to see that.”
It’s great to hear Conor McGregor being so supportive of Rousey. It’s easy to see how much fun she’s already having as a WWE Superstar and it will be only a matter of time before she will get in the squared circle to see if all that training paid off. But in the meantime, everyone seems to be more than happy for her and WWE for the new partnership.
