If you’re going to ask someone about what’s going on in WWE, William Regal is a pretty good place to start. After all, his job is to scout out the best talent from around the world. Therefore if a Latin American tournament was really happening you would think he would be made aware of it.
There were reports of a new tournament coming soon which would see a bracket of Latin American talent battling in a setting similar to the Cruiserweight Classic or United Kingdom Championship Tournament. But when William Regal heard this news he had to debunk the rumors.
Regal made an exception to his usual Twitter policy of posting for “entertainment purposes” when he discussed some official business. He went on to say that WWE has no Latin American tournament booked at this time.
The wording of his statement including “at this time” might cause some fans to churn the rumor mill even harder to interpret his meaning to signify some kind of eventual intention. But he wanted to make it very clear that it’s not happening in the imminent future because WWE hasn’t booked anything yet.
I usually use this account for entertainment purposes only. This is official though.
