Rob Gronkowski and Mojo Rawley go way back and have a pretty close friendship which is not only why Mojo considers Gronk’s family his own but it is also why Gronkowski jumped in the ring during the WrestleMania 33 kickoff show and helped Mojo Rawley win the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal.
There is another reason why Gronk helped out at WrestleMania 33 as well and that’s because he’s a big WWE fan. Some people have speculated how Gronk could call WWE his home after he’s finished with football, and his old buddy Mojo has to agree.
“It’s not a if, it’s a matter of when” Mojo Rawley said when TMZ caught up with him asking about Gronk joining WWE. Then the ultimate hype man calmed down and leveled a little bit by saying, “I don’t know, I can’t speak to him.”
Rob Gronkowski could be an amazing addition to the WWE Universe if he put in the time to train after his career in the NFL is over. Gronk’s brother was on hand and said he didn’t know if the Patriots’ tight end could handle the grueling NXT training regiment. After all, they do put their stars through the grinder in many ways. He also made a pretty funny comment about Mojo Rawley stealing all of his women and it was just golden how Mojo handled that remark. You can certainly tell how Mojo always has in the back of his mind that he is representing WWE where ever he goes.
Gronkowski is used to hard work and playing through the pain. So you never know if WWE could be getting another huge addition in the upcoming years. After all, Gronk could always re-spark his rivalry with Jinder Mahal after the Modern Day Maharaja rubbed his recent Super Bowl loss in his face.
