Injury forces WWE to make a change to the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic

Tyler Bate is out of action with a minor knee injury. The news was revealed in a WWE.com exclusive video that you can check out by scrolling down. This means that he is not medically cleared to continue in the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic tournament.

Bate told Cathy Kelley that he tweaked his knee and he thought that it would get better if he rested. He was told that he would have to sit out for 2 weeks so Moustache Mountain (Bate and Trent Seven) would have to withdraw from the tournament. The tapings have already taken place and we noticed that Bate and Seven were replaced by Roderick Strong and Pete Dunne but there was no explanation on why until now.

The Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic kicked off on March 7. Here are the first round matches that have aired on television:

– The Authors Of Pain defeated TM61
– SAnitY defeated Riddick Moss and Tino Sabbatelli
– The Street Profits defeated Heavy Machinery

Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch were scheduled to face Moustache Mountain on next week’s show.
