There have been some teases on WWE TV about a feud consisting of WWE’s Horsewomen against the MMA Horsewomen. WWE’s group consists of Bayley, Sasha Banks, Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair. The MMA group consists of Ronda Rousey, Shayna Baszler, Jessamyn Duke and Marina Shafir.
The MMA Horsewomen ran roughshod at the NXT TV tapings on Wednesday so they are definitely playing things up with them as a stable but don’t look for them to do anything on the main roster in the near future.
Dave Meltzer noted this week that despite the tease from Sasha Banks on Sunday when she put the four fingers in front of Rousey’s face, there are no plans for a Horsewomen vs. Horsewomen feud for the next two pay-per-views.
The women want the match but they would need to convince Vince McMahon. They’ve done teases before on social media. There were talks for a Horsewomen feud in late 2017 before Rousey was signed and they considered it again for the 2018 Survivor Series.
If Rousey is indeed taking time away from WWE to start a family after WrestleMania then we might not see this feud until next year.
Here is a video of Lynch and Bayley giving each other the Horsewomen sign. This did not air on TV.
Rousey mentioned the Four Horsewomen in a post-match promo after her victory over Sasha Banks at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view.
“The Four Horsewomen is the only point of contention for me. Me and my friends, we were the Four Horsewomen before we came to WWE. It wasn’t a gimmick or a marketing ploy or something to make us all popular because we’re aligned.”
Rousey continued, “This is real, this is personal, this is our lives. They’re taking something that is near and dear to our hearts and just trying to package it and sell it to the masses. They don’t even like each other. It’s something so personal, near and dear to my friends. If they held the four up in the same regard as we do, I would have respect for that but to them, this is nothing but marketing. They don’t have that bond that we have. It’s just for show and this isn’t for this, this is for life for us.”
