Dave Bautista met with WWE officials last week, meets with AEW’s Chris Jericho today

On Monday, Pro Wrestling Sheet reported on talks going on between Dave Bautista and WWE about bringing him back to the company. PWInsider confirmed today that Bautista met with WWE officials last Thursday at the headquarters in Stamford, CT. We have independently confirmed their report.

Bautista has said that he would love one more run with WWE and would like to wrestle on live events. He has also stated that he’s wanted a match with Triple H at WrestleMania, something that was teased last October at SmackDown 1000 during the Evolution reunion.

However, there is also interest from All Elite Wrestling and today, Chris Jericho posted a photo of himself with Bautista.

Perception-wise, it would be a big blow to WWE if AEW signs Bautista and it could cost them a top match at WrestleMania if the plan is still for Bautista vs. Triple H to take place. Ryan Satin’s report on Monday noted that Bautista is currently 50/50 on wrestling again so we’ll see what happens in the coming days and weeks.
