Once again, Charlotte Flair was not featured on this week’s WWE SmackDown Live broadcast but she was part of the dark match that took place after 205 Live.
In the dark match, Bayley retained the SmackDown Women’s Championship over Flair.
Flair has been off WWE television for a few weeks since she was given time off to be with Andrade after the passing of his mother and aunt. Flair also wrestled on Monday night the SmackDown live event in Glenns Falls, NY.
Given that there were no storylines for her in place for Extreme Rules, it makes sense to hold off her TV return. Presumably, she will be back by next week as WWE begins the hype for SummerSlam. Flair is featured in some of the local advertising for that show.
Her boyfriend Andrade was back in action this week on Monday Night Raw in a Mixed Tag Team Match. He teamed with “business associate” Zelina Vega against Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins in the opening match.
