CM Punk apologizes for walking out of WWE 10 years ago, face-to-face segment with Seth Rollins

CM Punk kicked off the second hour of WWE Monday Night Raw in a segment with Adam Pearce to announce which brand he would be signing with.

Punk mentioned that he has bad history in Cleveland because it’s where he had a dark match with Mickie James by his side. After the match, he was told that he was being sent to Ohio Valley Wrestling for further training. Punk also noted that it was in Cleveland where he was punted in the head by Randy Orton and then stripped of the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. It was also in Cleveland where he didn’t show up for Raw and instead, he walked out of the company.

Punk apologized for disappointing the people who paid a ticket to see him. He talked about the things he’s done to change and wanting to face the ghosts of the past as he looks towards the future. Seth Rollins walked out and called Punk out for disrespecting the company, him, and others in the company for the past decade. Just after Rollins said that maybe one day he would wrestle Punk with the World Heavyweight Title on the line and he could expose him as a fraud.
