Mercedes Mone vs. Maya World in the Owen Hart Women’s Tournament Final took place at the AEW Forbidden Door pay-per-view event from the SAP Center in San Jose, California. The winner will challenge for the Women’s World Title at All In.
Mone got the early advantage before they fought on the top rope and Mone hit a meteor twice. Back in the ring, Mone took back over. Maya got fired up after some trash talk from Mone. Maya with a counter into a powerslam for 2. Mone countered and locked in the bank statement. Maya got out of it with a pin attempt. Maya went for a sunset flip powerbomb, but Mone blocked it and went for one of her own, but couldn’t. Mone with a sunset flip powerbomb into the corner. Mone hit her finisher and Maya kicked out at 2. Maya with a powerbomb off the apron then a moonsault. Back in the ring, Maya with a moonsault for 2. Mone put her in the crossface and Maya got out of it with a roll through. Mone with the back stabber then the crossface for the win.
