AEW World Champion Kenny Omega vs. TNT Champion Kevin Knight for the AEW Men’s World Championship took place at the AEW Redemption pay-per-view event from the Bell Centre in Montreal, QC.
It was an even start for both guys before Knight got the better of him. Knight caught him with a DDT for 2 as Omega started to make a comeback and the fans rallied behind him. They traded headbutts in the corner. Omega with a sunset flip powerbomb off the top rope then a v-trigger for 2. Knight got the title and he threw it across the ring so he got the other title, but Omega hit him in the face with a boot. Knight with the rock bottom on the title to Omega for 2. Knight went for a frog splash, but Omega put the knees up. Knight reversed a move and Omega caught him with a knee strike and hit the one-winged angel for the win.
Winner: Omega
Post-match, The Death Riders attacked Omega until The Young Bucks ran out to make the save. The numbers game was just too much. Will Ospreay ran out to stop them. Moxley pulled out the plastic bag and wanted Will to do it. Will opted against it and ripped up the bag. Will punched Moxley and a brawl broke out. Omega laid out Ospreay with the One-Winged Angel.
