Results

Tailgate Brawl pre-show

  • Divine Dominion (Megan Bayne and Lena Kross) def. Sisters of Sin (Julia Hart and Skye Blue). Bayne and Kross pinned Hart after a double chokeslam.
  • Wardlow, Josh Alexander and Jake Doyle def. Alex Breeze, Papi D and Rhys Maddox. Wardlow powerbombed all three.
  • Death Riders (Wheeler Yuta, Claudio Castagnoli, Gabe Kidd and Daniel Garcia) and The Dogs (David Finlay and Clark Connors) def. Jay White, The Gunns (Austin and Colten Gunn) and The Conglomeration (Orange Cassidy, Roderick Strong and Kyle O’Reilly). Yuta pinned Colten Gunn after a Castagnoli-assisted frog splash. Both sides brawled after the match. Marina Shafir joined in for the Death Riders and was clotheslined by Willow Nightingale.

Main card

  • Motor City Machine Guns (Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley) def. FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler) in match one of their best-of-five series. The match started on the Tailgate Brawl and carried over to open the pay-per-view. Sabin pinned Wheeler after a two-on-one combination of kicks, about 25 minutes in. The Machine Guns lead the series 1-0.
  • Mercedes Moné (c) def. Thekla to retain the AEW Women’s World Championship. Thekla targeted Moné’s broken nose from the start and nearly won with a spear and a submission that Moné escaped by reaching the ropes. Moné then pulled off her protective face mask, hit Thekla with it, and finished with the Moneymaker for the pin. It is Moné’s second successful defense since winning the title at All In London in August.
  • Nick Wayne def. Chris Jericho in the rubber match of their series. Jericho was cut over his right eye early and dominated with the ring steps and the Walls of Jericho, but Wayne reached the ropes, threw a drink in Jericho’s eyes and hit a 450 splash for a near fall. The referee was knocked down late, and Wayne hit Jericho with two low blows that had no effect because Jericho was wearing a cup. Jericho pulled the cup out and hit Wayne with it while the referee was down, but Wayne won with a cradle. Wayne now leads their series 2-1 after beating Jericho at Grand Slam France earlier this month.
  • The Young Bucks (Matt Jackson and Nick Jackson) (c) def. Kyle Fletcher and Kevin Knight to retain the AEW World Tag Team Championship. Don Callis joined commentary for the match and twice ran from the Bucks at ringside. Fletcher and Knight controlled long stretches with tandem offense, including a doomsday-device variation and a coast-to-coast dropkick from Knight that hit both champions, but there was more miscommunication between them as the match went on. The Bucks baited Knight in and finished him with the BTE Trigger. It is the second defense of the Bucks’ fourth reign, which began at All Out last month.

News and Announcements

  • Jay White returned on the Tailgate Brawl, teaming with The Gunns and The Conglomeration in the 12-man tag. White had been out since he was hurt in the All Out Tailgate Brawl last month and had been expected to miss one to two months.
