Jake “The Snake” Roberts has confirmed that his time with AEW has come to an end, and he looked back on the run with nothing but fondness.
Speaking with Bill Apter, the WWE Hall of Famer reflected on his AEW tenure, which began in 2020 and primarily saw him serve as the manager for Lance Archer. Roberts made it clear that he thoroughly enjoyed his stint with the company, while also confirming his departure.
“Loved it. Loved it. I just finished up working for him. I’m no longer employed by AEW,” Roberts said.
Roberts also had high praise for AEW president Tony Khan, crediting him with bringing a positive energy to the wrestling landscape.
“He is awesome. He really is. A breath of fresh air,” Roberts said.
A legendary wrestler best known for his psychological promos, his signature DDT, and his python Damien, Roberts joined AEW in 2020.
