Jeff Jarrett was in the building for AEW Forbidden Door, and he came away raving about the show.
Speaking on his My World podcast, the Hall of Famer, who hosted the event’s “buy-in” pre-show, declared once again that no one presents a pay-per-view quite like AEW. “Nobody does pay-per-view like AEW,” Jarrett said, praising the brand-new cage used on the show and the loaded lineup. “When you start looking at stats, which I love to do, that card was loaded.”
Jarrett singled out several performers for praise, including The Young Bucks, who he said are “as good or better than ever,” along with Kenny Omega. He reserved special words for Will Ospreay, who earned a shot at the AEW World Championship at All In, set for his home country of England in less than two months.
“Willie Ospreay, the Billy Goat, I was very happy for him on a very personal level,” Jarrett said. “He is headed to his home country in less than two months’ time.”
Notably, Jarrett admitted his AEW responsibilities meant he didn’t catch any of TNA’s Slammiversary event the same weekend. “Not a bit, literally not a bit. I worked,” he said, citing his pay-per-view prep duties.
