MJF Three-Time AEW World Championship Celebration
MJF beat Darby Allin in the Double or Nothing main event to become a three-time AEW World Champion at 30 years old, also saving himself from being shaved bald in the process. He will celebrate that achievement tonight in Philadelphia, though the AEW faithful in the Liacouras Center may not make for willing party guests.
We’ll Hear From TNT Champion Kevin Knight
“The Jet” Kevin Knight will speak publicly for the first time since Double or Nothing, where he shocked the crowd by attacking a helpless Darby Allin after the main event. After MJF had already posed over Allin while he was strapped to a stretcher, Knight entered the ring and MJF stepped aside. Knight then delivered a UFO Splash to the defenseless Allin and flipped the stretcher over, an unprovoked attack that caught everyone by surprise given Knight’s previous alignment.
Everyone Banned From Ringside: Chris Jericho vs. Ricochet
Jericho and Ricochet continue their bitter rivalry tonight with every other person barred from ringside. Jericho’s side emerged victorious in the massive Stadium Stampede at Double or Nothing, with Jericho personally pinning Bishop Kaun with a Lionsault. Unfinished business with Ricochet remains, however, and tonight they settle it alone.
Lights Out Philly Street Fight: Kris Statlander vs. Hikaru Shida
Statlander was on her way to potentially recapturing the AEW Women’s World Championship in the four-way at Double or Nothing when Shida blindsided her with a kendo stick, costing her in the match. Thekla retained the title by pinning Statlander. Statlander issued the Lights Out Philly Street Fight challenge in response, and Shida accepted. No rules, no disqualifications.
Owen Hart Foundation Men’s Tournament Quarterfinal: AEW National Champion Mark Davis vs. Jungle Jack Perry
Davis and Perry enter tonight’s quarterfinal match tied at one win apiece against each other, but the history between them runs much deeper than the record. Perry attempted to run Davis over with the Jurassic Express during Stadium Stampede at Double or Nothing. Davis previously took the AEW National Championship from Perry at Fairway to Hell, and Perry has been pursuing revenge since. The winner advances to the semifinals to face Will Ospreay.
New AEW World Tag Team Champions Adam Copeland and Christian Cage: Wednesday Night 5-Second Pose
Adam Copeland and Christian Cage will deliver a special Wednesday Night 5-Second Pose tonight as the new AEW World Tag Team Champions. Cage and Cope captured the titles at Double or Nothing by defeating longtime rivals FTR in a New York Street Fight I Quit match that saw the return of Beth Copeland and Stokely go through a flaming table. Get the cameras ready.
Renee Paquette Interviews Kyle Fletcher and Don Callis
Kyle Fletcher made his return at Double or Nothing and, in a stunning turn, chose the Don Callis Family over his friend Konosuke Takeshita. Takeshita had just defeated Kazuchika Okada to win the AEW International Championship when Fletcher appeared to appear supportive before luring Takeshita into a false sense of security and attacking him to reaffirm his allegiance to Callis. Renee Paquette will get answers from Fletcher and Callis tonight.
