New Japan Pro Wrestling is experiencing a huge boom in the United States. They’ve never made so much money stateside in merchandise sales before in the history of the company. Thier G1 USA show on AXS TV brought a lot of viewers to the table so naturally, one would assume it will only be a matter of time before AXS TV airs another live NJPW show.
This speculation is amplified by the fact that The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports if you’re in the United States, the March 25th show in Long Beach California at Walter Pyramid will not be airing on New Japan World. But it will be available after the show is over and will air live for fans in Japan, Canada, and everywhere else but not for fans in the US.
Therefore, the thinking is that the March 25th Long Beach show will air live on AXS TV. Meltzer said fans should expect some sort of official announcement in the next few weeks regarding something very cool coming to AXS TV in March. If their previous live show on AXS TV is any indication of what they’re bringing to the table then this could be very exciting.
