The Briscoe Brothers appeared on “Busted Open” to discuss the ROH hiatus, if they’d want to work for the WWE and think they’d survive, and whether they’re worried about getting TV time if they signed with AEW.
The Briscoes were asked their thoughts on the ROH hiatus:
When asked their thoughts on the ROH hiatus, Mark Briscoe said, “It’s an unfortunate situation. I especially feel bad for our friends, the guys and girls, that might not get an opportunity to work somewhere else. They really need to get back on the grind. That sucks. It’s taking money out of people’s pockets, but it is what it is. You can’t look back. You have to make the best of it.”
Jay followed up with, “You have to roll with the punches. It’s always glass half full. It has to be. Don’t get me wrong, it was a sudden shock. It really was, but you have to roll with the punches.”
On whether they think the Briscoes could survive in the WWE and if they would want to work there:
Mark Briscoe was adamant they’d make it in the WWE sharing, “I think we would definitely survive. At the end of the day, you have to get in the ring and ring the bell.”
Jay agreed saying, “We would survive and thrive. Vince McMahon likes money. When we get in between those ropes, that’s what we do. We’re going to make the company money. I think that’s the bottom line. I’m not trying to sound cocky or anything.”
On whether they would be worried that if they go to AEW, they won’t get enough TV time:
When asked about a lack of potential TV time if they signed with AEW, Mark Briscoe shared the sentiments of, “I think once we make that splash, they’re going to want to see it again. I’m not really too worried about that. At the end of the day, we’re providing for our family, so we have to do what we have to do, but I don’t think we have to worry about riding the bench.”
