Brian Myers has credited the Hardys with saving TNA Wrestling, telling Insight with Chris Van Vliet listeners that Matt and Jeff Hardy are the greatest tag team of all time and that he feels privileged to work with them as much as he does.
The Hardys returned to TNA in February 2025 after their AEW contracts expired. They have been one of the central acts of TNA’s recent stretch. Myers discussed the Hardys’ impact.
“They’ve saved TNA wrestling, and you know, I mean, they’re the best, so I’m so privileged to work with them as much as I do, man. They just rule. They really are the goats, you know, like they say they are.”
Myers talked about the Hardys’ WrestleMania 33 return as one of the loudest pops he has heard. They won the Raw Tag Team Championship in a ladder match.
“I always said the Hardys’ return at Mania, and Nick’s cash in, are the two loudest pops I’ve ever heard at a show. In my opinion, in my career. That would have been earth-shattering if that stadium had a roof.”
Myers provided additional context for the WrestleMania 33 return.
“That one was also so epic, because they wrestled the ladder match the night before for Ring of Honor, and just kayfabe, and everybody. So cool. They rule.”
Myers also addressed the broader Major Collectibles operation and the relationships he has built with wrestling legends through the figure company.
“The other side of it that’s been really cool is seeing these guys at something like a convention, where Hacksaw and his wife light up to see me, and the checks that we’ve given them, and the mutual respect and relationship. That’s a cool thing to give back to our heroes in a way that I didn’t even really think about when it all started. We’re just trying to make cool toys.”
The Major Collectibles operation has given Myers the opportunity to work with multiple wrestling legends on action figure deals. Myers detailed the challenge of explaining the modern collectibles era to legends.
“Bully Ray was offered a legends deal, and he’s like, sure, he tells me, should I sign this? We’re like, yes, what, you can’t make Dudley anything, this is money from the sky. You can still be Bully Ray and do everything, bust open all your things, and that’s a whole nother business. And then this is just another revenue from another side.”
