Logan Paul is stepping back into the boxing ring for a fight with Dillon Danis, but before he does, he is ensuring he will get some kind of payday for the fight, even if it doesn’t take place.
The boxing contest is scheduled for October 14 in Manchester, England. It is titled The Prime Card and will be available as a pay-per-view on DAZN.
Danis, a former MMA fighter with a 2-0 record as a pro, while Paul’s last fight happened t in June 2021 when he went to an eight-round draw against Floyd Mayweather Jr. in a fight that was an unscored exhibition bout. While competing as a pro, Paul holds a 0-1 record after losing to KSI by split decision in 2019.
In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer pointed out that since Danis has previously pulled out of fights, Paul took an extra measure with the contract.
Meltzer wrote, “Paul did make him sign in the contract that he would have to pay Paul $100,000 if Danis pulls out of the fight due to a fake injury, and that it would be Paul’s doctor who would determine if he was faking the injury or not.”
Meltzer pointed out that fighters can legitimately injure themselves when doing hard training.
