Spoiler on Ric Flair’s WWE Hall of Fame inductee announcement

WWE has confirmed that Ric Flair will be appearing on Wednesday’s episode of The Bump to announce the next inductee into the 2023 class of the WWE Hall of Fame.

Rey Mysterio was announced as the first inductee into this year’s WWE Hall of Fame class during Friday’s episode of SmackDown. A notable name is slated to induct the former WWE Champion.

As previously reported on Monday, WWE is in talks with a former star to induct them into the class. For more on that, click here. The Great Muta (Keiji Muto) is expected to be among the names inducted this year.

While speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that he has learned Flair asked to induct Great Muta into the Hall of Fame. With Flair wanting to do the honors due to their history of classic matches and him slated to make the next Hall of Fame announcement, all signs are pointing to Muta being the next inductee to be revealed.

“I presume that’s Keiji Muto because Ric Flair has asked to induct Muto, or has been asked to induct Muto. A lot of people thought it would be Sting, but politically that would have been tough before, I think it would have been even tougher now. I don’t know if that’s the case. We do know that Muto has been asked to be in the Hall of Fame, and we do know that Flair has asked to induct him, so that seems to make sense.”

Hulk Hogan recently hinted at two names potentially being honored this year.
