Although there have been some past issues between Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Vin Diesel, fans can expect a surprise in the latest Fast & Furious film.
Vin Diesel, who is the main star and producer of the franchise, previously took to Instagram in November 2021 to publicly call for The Rock to return for the final film.
The two stars had a beef with each other while filming The Fate of The Furious movie in 2016 as The Rock had an issue with Diesel’s work ethic and showing up late to set. The future WWE Hall of Famer knocked him on Instagram, which led to a heated exchange between the two in Johnson’s trailer. They later met privately several times and patched things up. This was something The Rock addressed in an interview and he told Diesel he wouldn’t be returning.
The Rock was featured in Fast Five, Fast & Furious 6, Furious 7, and The Fate of The Furious. He later starred in Hobbs & Shaw, which was a spinoff to the main series of films. The Rock wasn’t featured in “F9,” which was released in 2021, nor Fast X, which releases later this month.
The Wrap reports The Rock is making an appearance in the post-credits sequence of Fast X.
Louis Leterrier directs the new movie that premieres on May 19. It stars Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Jason Momoa, Nathalie Emmanuel, John Cena, Charlize Theron, Helen Mirren, Brie Larson, and Rita Moreno.
