It’s looking more likely that Matt Riddle will be making his WWE TV return soon.
The WWE star was written off on the December 5 episode of Raw when the Bloodline’s Solo Sikoa viciously attacked him. The angle was done because Riddle failed a second drug test in 2022 with the expectation that he would be going to rehab as he had previously violated WWE’s wellness policy over the summer. Riddle later confirmed that he did go to rehab.
While away from WWE, Riddle has been enjoying life with his kids and girlfriend.
Historically, if WWE doesn’t have plans for someone at WrestleMania, they will keep them off television until after the event and have a surprise return take place the week after Mania, whether that be on Raw or SmackDown. Riddle could be a name to do just that.
Pwinsider Elite reports, “there’s a creative pitch for a Matt Riddle return,” but he’s not currently in town for Mania. However, that doesn’t mean he won’t be brought in sometime over the weekend.
The report added that the plan is for Riddle to remain a member of Raw.
