There were a number of things changed on tonight’s WWE Raw from Chicago. PWInsider reports that the changes came from Vince McMahon, who was working remotely from home.
Per the report, McMahon changed finishes on several matches with some changes to how they got to the finish of certain matches and in other cases, the actual finish of the match was changed.
The match between The Street Profits and the team of Cedric Alexander & Shelton Benjamin was added to the show after McMahon’s changes.
It was also reported that “a number of segments” with the female talents were cut from the show. That would include a backstage segment that was planned with Candice LeRae and Piper Niven. There reportedly was another segment cut that involved Adam Pearce, Sonya Deville, and other female talent. The decision to cut that segment was reportedly made so that they could spend more time on setting up the six-woman tag team match with Damage CTRL. It is interesting that LeRae and Niven were cut because they were also cut at the last minute on the Raw after Mania. Vince McMahon was backstage and running that show.
As seen in the clip below, Tamina Snuka was at Raw so it’s possible that she was supposed to be involved in a segment that ended up getting cut. Sean Ross Sapp tweeted about the Candice and Piper segment being cut (see below).

Originally, Piper Niven and Candice LeRae were slated for a backstage segment, then a match. Instead, Street Profits vs. Cedric & Shelton was in that spot.
We'll work to find out more on what happened and put it in our backstage news on https://t.co/jy8u4a7WDa.
