WWE Filmed Drew McIntyre’s Segment On Raw At A Familiar Venue

WWE used a familiar segment in the latest vignette to build to one of the bigger matches on the WrestleMania 40 card.

WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins vs. Drew McIntyre, with CM Punk on commentary, will take place on night two this Sunday from Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

On Monday’s Raw, McIntyre was at a funeral home where he stood by a casket and gave a eulogy-like speech about how Punk has no match at WrestleMania 40. He said that at the Royal Rumble, the world lost an opportunity to see an out-of-shape has-been main event WrestleMania once his brittle, fragile body failed him worse than it did in the UFC.

Segment

McIntyre noted that Punk’s tricep wanted to get as far away from him as possible like the rest of us. He called Rollins broken, had one foot in the grave, and vowed to beat him at WrestleMania.

As seen below, WWE used the venue that TNA Wrestling had used in the past for two other funeral segments. It may have been Jeremy Borash’s idea to use the venue since he was in TNA when the other segments were being filmed.
