WWE is leaning heavily into the idea that Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn could split up after Friday Night SmackDown.
During a backstage segment, Sami Zayn tried to talk some sense into Jey Uso and asked him what happens if they don’t win the Tag Team Titles this Friday. Sami warned about what the repercussions would be from Roman Reigns if that happens. Jey turned it around and told Sami that Kevin Owens is going to turn on him.
Later in the show, they had Sami, KO, and Matt Riddle in a room and KO got upset at Sami when he learned that Sami was talking to Jey again. KO wondered why Sami cares so much about what happens with Jimmy and Jey.
Since they won the Tag Team Titles at WrestleMania, WWE has continued to tease the Owens and Zayn break up, despite the fact that KO and Sami reunited just before WrestleMania.
