Arn Anderson had high praise for Triple H, both as a performer and as the man now steering WWE.
On his ARN podcast, Anderson was asked whether he and Triple H had a collaborative relationship during Anderson’s time with the company in 2005 and 2006. He described a mutual respect between the two. “Much respect, and I think both ways,” Anderson said. “He would have been perfect for the last half of the ’80s, with his style of work. He wasn’t a guy that just did a bunch of high spots.”
Anderson believes Triple H could still deliver in the ring if called upon. “I imagine he could probably go out and have a hell of a match right now,” he said. “He was very, very talented, had a great grasp of the business.”
The Hall of Famer also voiced his approval of Triple H’s current role overseeing WWE. “They got the right guy in charge, my opinion,” Anderson said, agreeing that Triple H has always carried a deep appreciation for the Jim Crockett Promotions era that Anderson came up in.
Later in the show, when the conversation turned to who would have made a good addition to The Four Horsemen, Anderson circled back to the same name. “Triple H would have been a great Horseman,” he said, also floating Ted DiBiase as another talent who would have fit the legendary faction.
