Chad Gable jumped to WWE’s main roster with a different tag team partner in Jason Jordan. But when Jordan was called over to Raw so he could spend some quality time with his Papa Kurt, Chad seemed to be without a real purpose on the roster. After Shelton Benjamin was inserted into the equation it all started to add up for Gable.
Shelton Benjamin is no stranger to being a part of successful tag teams and he plans on doing the same with Chad Gable. These two had a pretty impressive showing against The Ascension on SmackDown Live but it doesn’t look like they’re going to stop with Konnor and Viktor.
It’s pretty cool when you think about it because Jason Jordan got to go to Raw and work with his hero, Kurt Angle while Chad Gable is now tagging with a man he also admires in Shelton Benjamin.
The new team was interviewed backstage after SmackDown Live and while Shelton was able to keep his composure, Chad Gable fanboyed out once more. However, this is nothing new to Shelton Benjamin so he’s displaying much more of a veteran presence. Gable is playing the part of a young and hungry budding Superstar well giving this team an interesting dichotomy.
The SmackDown Tag Team Championships are obviously in their eyesight and they might just have the tools needed to accomplish that goal. Meanwhile, this new team will keep working at it as Gable continues to learn firsthand from one of his childhood heroes.
