Brock Lesnar defeated Randy Orton via TKO at SummerSlam. The match ended abruptly after Lesnar nailed Orton with a bunch of stiff shots in the middle of the ring. Orton was busted open and then the referees and doctors ran down to the ring. The referee stopped the match and the match was awarded to Lesnar.
Shane McMahon ran down to the ring to try to stop Lesnar from continuing his attack on Orton but McMahon was hit with an F5. It was a flat ending to the show and fans in Brooklyn, NY were chanting “refund” as the left the arena. The ending was odd considering that the previous match (Rusev vs. Roman Reigns) ended when the match was stopped due to Rusev getting injured.
