There are a lot of people out there who have different opinions on what CM Punk should do next in his career. Whether he’s gearing up for his next MMA fight or not, there will always be a core part of his fan base who would rather see him in a pro wrestling ring.
Bully Ray recently spoke to Metro where he went into several subjects including what he thinks would be the best decision for CM Punk.
“CM Punk could do more for the wrestling world by coming back home to ROH than going back to WWE” Bully Ray said. “Because what is there for him to do at WWE? There’s really not much left, and he’s going to have to do it their way. So if he needs for his ego to work the last match at Wrestlemania, then great, but I think he’s worth so much more to the wrestling world by breathing life into the business by going back to a company like ROH. If he shows up in ROH, the entire wrestling world will be buzzing about in a positive way. If he goes back to WWE, yeah people will be talking about it, but it’s also like, hey you said you were never going back, but now you’re back.”
CM Punk might eventually find his way back to the ring but right now he seems plenty happy doing what he’s been doing. He has a great life, wife, and dog. He also gets to train and have fun doing what he loves. If he ever did come back to the world of pro wrestling it very well might be for ROH (or even New Japan).
But until then at least we have hundreds of hours to watch and enjoy the Second City Savior’s work on the WWE Network.
