Chicago crowd furious over Brock Lesnar wrestling a 30-second match on Saturday night

As promised on Twitter by Paul Heyman, his client Brock Lesnar appeared at the WWE live event on Saturday night. Heyman did his usual introduction but added that Lesnar was coming out of “The Ultimate Corner,” a clear reference to the rumors about Lesnar possibly headed back to UFC for another fight.

The match was shorter than any of his previous non-televised matches and that left fans in Chicago upset. HIs contract calls for Lesnar to wrestle no more than 5 minutes at non-televised events but, according to fan reports, he was booed out of the building after he defeated Kane with the F-5 in only 30 seconds. One person noted to us that everyone in his section “were all pissed off” by the short match.

I think the reaction is exactly what WWE wants because the goal of keeping Lesnar off of Raw last Monday was to get fans to hate him and to get Roman Reigns cheered since there is resentment from fans that think Lesnar gets special treatment with his part-time deal. The 30-second victory plays into some of the “Lesnar is lazy and doesn’t deserve the pay” criticism from some fans.
