At this point there no signs to point towards a WWE return for Neville. Following his exit from the company, there were reports that of talks between both sides both those talks fell through. At this point, it looks like Neville will need to wait until his contract expires before he wrestles elsewhere.
However, if it were up to Enzo Amore, Neville would be back in WWE. Amore was interviewed by the UK Sun and he put over the matches he had with Neville. Amore said, “Neville is one of my favourite pros in the business. He carried NXT with that title and was a tag-team champion there.” Amore also pointed out that he and Neville were the two guys in the cruiserweight division with the toughest schedule. Both Amore and Neville were working the Raw live events on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Then they would work Raw TV on Monday and 205 Live on Tuesday. The rest of the Raw crew would be off on Tuesday and the cruiserweights that work on 205 Live don’t work on the weekend live events.
Amore put over Neville’s work ethic and said that he hopes to see him back. He said, “I hope Neville comes back and we feud. I have never seen a guy work like he does.” He added, “He might move better than anyone has ever moved in a ring – like the Dynamite Kid.”
Amore said that he traveled with Neville during their time in NXT. I guess that puts a hole in the narrative that Amore played a part in Neville’s exit from WWE. At this point, a return for Neville seems unlikely and those close to him have said that he is happy with his decision to leave. It does seem unlikely but the old saying in wrestling is “never say never” so time will tell. Perhaps, WWE could work out something in time for the Royal Rumble.
