Eugene opens a wrestling school, Legendary wrestler in a nursing home, Dusty Rhodes bio

– Nick Dinsomore (formerly Eugene) is opening up a wrestling school in South Dakota.

– Ric Flair noted on his podcast last week that “Dirty” Dick Slater is living in a nursing home in the Clearwater area. Slater has had legal issues in the last 10 years or so and had been arrested multiple times in recent years. He’s been dealing with injuries from his years in the ring and is said to be unrecognizable. Flair said that Slater is not letting anyone see him.

– You should really check out last week’s bio on Dusty Rhodes in the Wrestling Observer newsletter. I presume that part two will be up within the next week or two. Tremendous stuff in there about how he got his start in the business, the stories about him going to West Texas State, working at a gas station and meeting Terry Funk, and more.
