Jason Jordan pulled from WWE live events (updated)

The decision has been made to pull Jason Jordan off the road due to issues with his neck.

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter was the first to report over the weekend that Jordan’s neck issues were pretty bad and he has issues gripping his hand. Jordan’s wife later downplayed the neck issues on social media and indicated that he would not be out for an extended period of time.

WWE has been careful to make sure to limit the number of bumps that Jordan took over the last few weeks and he hasn’t taken any back bumps since they learned about his neck issues. On this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw, Roman Reigns was a substitute and tagged with Seth Rollins in a tag team match against The Bar.

It’s unclear what his recovery timetable will be but it’s WrestleMania season so I could see him trying to hold surgery off until after Mania. If he ends up getting surgery then it would mean that he would be out of action until next year. His neck issues sound similar to what Edge and Stone Cold Steve Austin had to deal with. In that case, then he could be out for at least a year if he gets surgery.
