As noted earlier, Jeremy Borash has given notice to Impact Wrestling and he has signed with WWE.
Dave Meltzer later confirmed the news and added that Borash will be working with NXT. If you are a fan of NXT like I am then you should be happy with this news because Borash has been heralded as being a workhorse and a great mind. He was behind the “Broken” Matt videos at Impact Wrestling in 2016.
The decision must have been last-minute because he was doing work for Impact last week and he was recently announced as the new host of Live Audio Wrestling for the Impact Wrestling Twitch channel.
It will be interesting to see the changes at NXT when Borash joins the brand. NXT already has a play-by-play announcer so it’s more likely that he’ll have a different role, perhaps as a backstage interviewer and/or doing work behind-the-scenes.
