Former WWE Champion and Olympic Gold Medalist Kurt Angle does not think his days in the squared circle are over. Apparently, he was serious when he said a couple of weeks ago that he was ready to get back in the ring.
He did another Q&A this week with fans on his Facebook page and he was asked if he enjoys his role as the Monday Night Raw General
Angle’s last match was at WrestleMania 34 as Ronda Rousey’s tag team partner against Triple H and Stepanhie McMahon. He looked good but the match was carefully planned around Rousey’s lack of experience and Angle’s limitations because of his knee issues.
Angle has been telling people recently that he is healthy so perhaps we’ll see one more run from him. By all accounts, he has been great to work with backstage and he has cleaned up his life from the substance abuse issues that led to his WWE departure in 2006. Angle noted that his 2006 exit was a big regret for him. He said the following when asked what was his biggest career move and what he regretted: “Leaving WWE in 2006. But I knew I had to get away for a little while, I just never imagined it would be for 11 years. Too long.”
