Mark Henry confronted Jerry Lawler backstage at the Royal Rumble over beef with Peter Rosenberg

On this week’s “Dinner With The King” podcast, Jerry “The King” Lawler (listen to the clip below) said he ran into Mark Henry backstage before the Royal Rumble pay-per-view.

Lawler said that he was “called on the carpet” by Henry in the dressing room sometime in the afternoon. Henry said, “I think me and you are gonna have to fight.” Lawler had no idea what he was talking about until Henry explained, “I got [Rosenberg] in [WWE]. He’s a huge fan. His house is like a shrine to wrestling. Everything in his house is wrestling. His whole life is about wrestling.” Henry and Rosenberg are apparently good friends and he had a hand in getting him hired by WWE.

Lawler says that he doesn’t really hate Rosenberg. He said that he doesn’t know him because he doesn’t hang out with him. Lawler said that maybe Rosenberg is being too sensitive. Lawler then talked about Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn ripping on Rosenberg during Rumble Kickoff show.

Lawler ended by saying, “Pete, I have no problem with you. We’re good. We’re much better than me and this other guy, Sam Roberts. Now that guy! No, I don’t have any problem with Sam Roberts – Sam’s a cool guy too. I don’t have any problem with anybody up there. I get along with everybody up there.”
