It never seems to slow down when it comes from news about Paige and Alberto. These two probably don’t like the fact that they’re so newsworthy either but those are the breaks when you’re extremely famous and interesting. While we’re not trying to lump anything else on to Paige’s plate because it’s full enough as it is, she might have found herself in a situation where she could be actually released from WWE.
WWE would probably like to keep Paige around for the upcoming movie about her family that they’re producing with The Rock’s company (that movie can’t come out soon enough). But with the recent reports that Paige could be charged with battery it seems like that ship might have sailed.
If she is actually charged with this offense it could result in her eventual WWE release because there is a zero tolerance policy in place when it comes to crimes of that nature. The wording in WWE’s policy reads:
“WWE has zero tolerance for matters involving domestic violence, child abuse and sexual assault. Upon arrest for such misconduct, a WWE talent will be immediately suspended. Upon conviction for such misconduct, a WWE talent will be immediately terminated.”
In the end, releasing Paige from her contract might be what she wants. But there are certainly better ways to accomplish that other than being charged with battery.
