In case you haven’t heard by now, it’s Rusev Day. Pro wrestling fans all over the world celebrate this fantastic holiday in different ways and as it turns out the festivities aren’t limited to WWE events either.
The Manhattan Center’s Hammerstein Ballroom played host to ROH Manhattan Mayhem on Saturday night and during the event, this rambunctious crowd let it all out as the ROH roster gave them a night they’ll never forget. But as it turns out not all of their enthusiasm was geared toward someone they planned on seeing at the ROH show because Rusev also received a rousing round “Rusev Day” chants as well.
Rusev commented on this occurrence by simply saying, “interesting……” but you have to think all those extra periods was a placeholder for other things he wishes he could say.
Fan comments on the video have ranged from sentiments that WWE needs to realize what kind of act they have with Rusev to some expressing a desire to see Rusev jump ship if WWE doesn’t turn things around for him. One thing is for sure, Rusev changing his Twitter profile name to “Duly Noted” might be more than just a dig at Shane McMahon.
