There is still no word on the severity of AJ Styles’ injury but people in WWE are hopeful that he will ok for the WWE Championship match against Shinsuke Nakamura at WrestleMania 34. French news site catch-newz.com asked Triple H what Styles’ status is for WrestleMania and if they have a backup plan in case he is not able to compete.
“You always have to have a plan B and just in case you have a plan C so we try to have in mind what would happen. AJ is an incredible performer and saying we would replace AJ Styles would be very difficult, not necessarily a replaceable talent but we would do our best. AJ is working diligently on rehabbing his injuries and getting himself in tip top shape for WrestleMania. We are trying to help him with that process of getting the best care and the best rehab and everything else possible. You know, we’re hoping for the best.”
He added, “Right now he says he’s feeling a lot better and will be ready to go and obviously we’ll get him doctors to make sure that he is ready to go and get him medical clearance if that’s possible. He’s working very hard at it. We’re hoping for the best.”
