Raw 25 was a packed show and there wasn’t much time to take away anything let alone add something huge in.
The Undertaker’s big speech was thought to involve John Cena coming out to set up something for WrestleMania, but that just didn’t happen. Instead, it was just ominous.
Dave Meltzer speculated on Wrestling Observer Radio The Undertaker vs John Cena segment didn’t take place because of timing due to the fact that The Royal Rumble is first and “they had to set up a spot in the Rumble so that’s what they did.”
So they booked an angle between Elias and John Cena for Raw 25. The Drifter was believed to be a replacement in this instance for Samoa Joe but he’s out due to injury.
Although there is a belief The Undertaker and John Cena will do something down the road, it didn’t go down at Raw 25. But it could happen any night, apparently.
When asked how likely it is that a set up for The Undertaker vs John Cena would be happening on Raw, Dave Meltzer’s response seemed to imply that it’s only a matter of time.
