Ethan Carter III came into Impact Wrestling as Dixie Carter’s spoiled and ruthless nephew but since then he became a full-fledged pro wrestling star. Before he was EC3, WWE’s developmental territory knew him as Derrick Bateman for a short time. He didn’t do much with WWE and was released, but now he’s back as a seasoned professional.
After his debut at NXT TakeOver: Philadelphia, he cut an intense promo about his time away from WWE and now that he’s back it looks like he’s going to be gunning for the top. He very well might not spend much time in NXT to be honest because they already have so many outstanding stars that they don’t really have room for all of them already. But Carter is going to make the most of his time in NXT for sure.
It should also be noted that EC3 was the only incoming star who got time to do a promo so far which could show how seasoned they already consider him since his time in Impact Wrestling required him to hold the microphone a lot.
It’s been 1,714 days since EC3 has been in WWE and hopefully, he’ll spend even more time than that with the company since he’s back with a vengeance and something to prove.
