You really have to consider all sides of a story sometimes. But the recent allegations of sexual assault against Enzo Amore might have been the icing on the cake in a number of ways because apparently he wasn’t well liked in WWE anyway.
Enzo Amore was released from WWE after a sexual assault allegation came out and it was discovered Enzo knew about a police investigation since October but never told WWE. Plenty of people have spoken out against Amore since then and Jim Cornette recently received an email from a person “in the universe that is WWE” who apparently knew him well enough to be glad he’s no longer with the company.
Without revealing who his source was, Cornette did read a few lines from the email including, “I wanted to beat the f-ck out of Enzo daily as did everyone else,” “he got himself thrown off of more tour buses overseas than I can count and he was not allowed in any dressing room in any arena ever,” and “he was a rotten worker and an even more rotten human, f-ck him.”
Mike Sempervive might have put it best on Wrestling Observer Live when he asked, “is the juice worth the squeeze” while speaking about WWE possibly bringing back Amore if he is proven innocent of the charges against him. After all, WWE might be a better place at least backstage without Enzo Amore around. To be honest, 205 Live is certainly in better shape now as well.
It doesn’t seem to matter that someone has come forward claiming to have proof of Enzo Amore’s innocence because it might be his backstage reputation that sealed his future fate in WWE.
Only time will tell how the investigation into the sexual assault claims against Amore pans out. But at least the person who wrote Cornette seems to be pretty happy to have him gone.
