CM Punk had some fun with a fellow WWE star during his first live event appearance as champion, borrowing Charlotte Flair’s signature robe for his entrance.
Punk made his explosive return to WWE on this past Monday’s Raw, stepping in on short notice for Cody Rhodes to challenge Sami Zayn for the WWE Championship. He came out on top, defeating Zayn to capture the title once again, marking the first championship win of his current WWE run.
Just days later, on Saturday, Punk worked a WWE live event at the Pan American Center in Las Cruces, New Mexico. The new champion turned his entrance into a lighthearted moment at Charlotte Flair’s expense.
According to reports from the show, Flair discovered Punk backstage wearing her robe before he headed out. Punk proceeded to make his entrance sporting the robe for the crowd, only for Flair to emerge behind him and reclaim her gear, drawing plenty of laughs from the live audience.
The playful exchange came during a busy stretch for Punk, who is scheduled to work all of WWE’s house show dates over the coming weeks.
